10 panel saliva drug test – Oral mouth swab drug test

What is a 10-panel mouth swab drug test?

A mouth swab drug test, also well known as an oral fluid or saliva drug test, is a lateral flow immunoassay drug detection device. Saliva drug tests are for forensic use only. They are less invasive and provide additional security since they are not able to be tampered with like urine drug screens. One of the great benefits about this saliva test kit is that you will be able to attain results in only a matter of minutes.

In the case that someone has a “shy bladder”, a mouth swab drug test is a great way to still be able to screen them for drugs in a timely manner. The testing administrator will place the cotton end of the swab testing device inside the specimen donor’s mouth. Each 10-panel mouth swab drug test is equipped with a saturation indicator that turns pink as soon as the test is fully saturated. As soon as the collector sees the pink indicator, they place the swab into the collection container to run the test and wait for results to appear.

Benefits of the 10-panel mouth swab drug test

  • Easy to use and read results – The mouth swab drug tests come with extremely easy to follow directions.
  • Results in Minutes – Results appear in only 5-7 min.
  • Accurate – Our saliva drug tests perform at a 99% degree of accuracy. We never compromise on quality.
  • Non Invasive -Oral fluid drug tests can be performed right in front of the administrator.
  • Detects recent usage activity – An oral mouth swab drug test has an earlier detection window after a drug has been used.
  • Can’t be Faked – The administrator can watch the applicant perform the saliva test.

What does a 10-panel oral mouth swab drug test screen for?

How to Perform a 10 Panel Oral Fluid Drug Test?

  1. The testing administrator will provide the specimen donor the swab end of the saliva drug test.
  2. The donor is then instructed to swab the test against their cheeks and under their tongue until a sufficient specimen is provided. (This will typically take about 2 min)
  3. Next, the administrator will collect the swab from the donor and insert it into the testing chamber to run the drug testing panels.
  4. Wait to read result at 10 minutes. The colored lines will appear as either a negative or a positive for each drug. For further information regarding interpreting results, please see the directions insert.

How long can drugs be detected from a mouth swab?

As mentioned before, mouth swab drug tests have a shorter detection window than urine, blood and hair drug screen. This means that they can identify drug use before it is evident in any of the other drug tests, but the drug also stops being detectable earlier than the other methods.
Find below the detection times for some of the most commonly abused drugs in saliva drug tests. Keep in mind that the detection window varies depending on how frequently the substance is used, how much of it was consumed, for how long it has been used, and the metabolism of the person.

When do employers use mouth swab drug tests?

Oral fluid drug tests have grown in popularity with employers because they are economical, easy to apply, non-invasive, and difficult to tamper. The most common reasons that employers test their workers for drugs are:

  • Pre-employment screening
  • Before a promotion
  • Suspicion of abuse from an employee
  • After on-the-job accidents and injuries

Sometimes, employers will do random checks on a selected pool of employees. Typically, a 24-hour notice is given beforehand. Usually, employees will be instructed not to eat, drink, or put anything inside their mouths 10 minutes before the saliva drug test. This is done to avoid possible tampering or false positive results.

Great when you need to test someone out on the road. Plus, if they think they’re going to be tested this will definitely throw them in a loop if you pull out the mouth swabs.
